After more than 40 years as the Centre for Evaluation & Monitoring (CEM), we are delighted to introduce Cambridge Insight - a new name for our broad range of digital, adaptive, formative assessments from Cambridge.
Over the past several years, we have integrated our assessments with Cambridge University Press & Assessment, expanding our focus beyond our original baseline assessments. This joint effort brings together academic research, educational expertise, and innovative digital tools to provide schools with deeper, data-driven insights into student learning and development.
At Cambridge, we focus on unlocking students' potential with qualifications, assessments, curriculum and resources that spread knowledge, spark enquiry and aid understanding.
Because insight is exactly what we provide. Our digital, adaptive, and formative assessments are designed to give schools a clearer understanding of each student - their cognitive and non-cognitive strengths, progress, wellbeing, and the unique attributes that our research shows contribute to long-term success.
From Early Years to A Levels, from baseline assessments to digital tools that measure attributes such as wellbeing and attitudes to learning, we help schools and groups of school to better understand, increase and demonstrate the value they can add to their students' lives.
Working closely with teachers, department heads and school leaders, we provide insight assessments, reports and guidance that reveal each individual student's and cohort's unique qualities. This allows strategic decisions around improving teaching practice and resource allocation.
Our digital tools are at the forefront of educational insight, spanning across a broad range of insight assessments and using data of the highest quality to provide detailed reports and accurate predictions. This makes it easy for teachers to quickly respond to the needs and identify the potential of each learner, class and cohort.
While the name of our range of assessments has changed, their purpose remains the same. Cambridge Insight assessments are designed to support learning, drive improvement, and enable every student to realise their full potential.
Implementing baseline and attributes assessments along with other formative and summative assessments from Cambridge creates a complete assessment cycle. Using this cycle in schools represents best practice and leads to continuous improvement - in grades, in student and staff wellbeing, and overall school success.
It's our insight that empowers schools to unlock the potential of every learner, so that together, we make a measurable difference.
