What do our schools say about us?
"Having the CEM data helps us to have learning conversations with the students, and it is designed to help both teachers and students with their learning."
"The InCAS [now evolved into Cambridge Primary Insight] assessment means that my teachers have a set of data which is transformational. It has given them all so much information on every individual child, so you can tailor the curriculum to ensure that every single one of them is getting the best possible educational experience."
"The single thread running through all the grading decisions at The Cedar School has been CEM assessments. It has been a vital tool with so many benefits, from setting standards and raising expectations, to helping us support students and staff, to measuring school performance."
"Having the CEM data throughout all of the disruptions last year was so useful as it gave us scientific evidence to support examination predictions."
Frequently asked questions:
-
How and when do I pay for my school's CEM assessments?
All our assessments must be paid for by invoice. We will invoice your school during the academic year you use the assessments (currently we issue invoices from November for our early years and primary assessments, and from January for our secondary and post-16 assessments).
You have the option to provide a purchase order number when you buy the assessments. You can use our pricing calculator to help you get a quote for raising a purchase order.
You will need to provide a contact name and details for your finance department when buying your CEM assessments.
For the Cambridge Wellbeing Check, we will invoice after 14 days.
-
I’m not sure exactly how many students are joining my school next year – can I change the number of students I assess after I’ve bought the assessments?
Yes – you can increase the number of students you use the assessment with at any time.
You can decrease the number of students by up to 20% per product before invoicing. Please read our End User Licence Agreement for full terms and conditions.
-
How long does it take to get access to the assessments and reports?
When you buy CEM assessments for the first time, we will set you up with a login and password. This process usually takes several working days. We recommend you leave enough time for logins and passwords to reach you between buying, and when you plan to use the assessments with your students.
-
I’m not sure which assessment would be the best one for my students and school?
Our friendly team are happy to talk you through which assessments would help your school the most. Just contact us and we’ll put a team member in your area in touch with you directly.
-
Can anyone buy a CEM assessment?
Our assessments are only available for schools and educational establishments to buy and use. If you’d like your child’s school to use CEM assessments, please mention us to them!
-
What is a product fee?
This is a fixed fee applied on a per product basis. Rather than a per cohort fee, this product fee applies to each product you purchase and only has to be paid once, rather than for each cohort.
-
How are Secondary and Post-16 prices calculated with the new product fee model?
The cost to your school is calculated by adding a product fee to the per pupil cost for 1-100 students, per pupil cost for 101-175 students, and per pupil cost for 176+ students.
For example, as a school with 200 students using MidYIS, you would pay a £150 product fee plus £10.50 x 100 students, plus £8 x 75 students, plus £5.50 x 25 students = £1937.50.
To cost for your school, please use the pricing calculator.
